On rare occasions, the number plate cameras may not accurately read your plate which could result in your parking session remaining active.

When you leave a car park you should receive a notification or email from QwikPark within a few minutes. If you do not get a notification, open the app to view your current parking sessions.

  • We recommend leaving this for a few minutes and allow the session and phone to update as the payment process can sometimes be delayed if security checks have to be completed. You may find that the session will end once the app has been able to refresh or update.

If it shows that your parking session is still active and doesn't update, you can manually end the session with just a few taps:

  • On your parking session page - Tap 'Select End Time'.
  • Select the time you left the car park.
  • Confirm that you have left the car park and this is the correct time. 
  • You will be shown the updated price, this includes any discounts.
  • Tap End Parking Session.

The submitted end times are manually checked with the local parking system, just to make sure the exit time isn't significantly different (hours, not minutes).

QwikPark or the parking operator can also manually end your parking session back to the exact time you left so that you are charged the correct parking fee. You will not be overcharged.
